Goliat boosts electricity supply in Finnmark

Electrification of the Goliat platform in the Barents Sea will provide major reductions in CO2 emissions. And there will be major benefits onshore as well. The recently upgraded Hyggevann substation will reinforce and stabilise electricity supply in Finnmark.

Eni Norge and Hammerfest Energi are currently conducting trials of the Hyggevann substation in Hammerfest, which will soon be supplying electricity to the Goliat platform and other local industries. To date, the results have been excellent.
