Vår Energi’s business plan is developed in cooperation with our owners, the Italy based energy company Eni (69.85 %) and Norway based energy-focused private equity investor HitecVision (30.15 %).

Growth strategy

Vår Energi invests in several development projects on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) with the goal of maximizing value creation and strengthening our position as one of the largest oil and gas companies offshore Norway.

Gas sale

NGL sales

Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) is a common name for ethane, propane, butane and naphtha.

The NGL is extracted from natural gas, rich gas or separated from crude oil at the onshore processing plants and stored at Kårstø and Vestprosess (Mongstad) in Norway, and at Braefoot Bay and Teeside in the UK. The products are further transported to the markets by tankers or pipelines.

Natural gas sales

Vår Energi is responsible for gas sales from our own portfolio. Gas transport requires daily follow-up.

Our headquarters near Stavanger is actively involved in following up gas sales and the purchase and sale of gas transport capacity, both in a short- and long-term perspective.

REMIT operational information: Gassco is the operator of the gas transport infrastructure on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).
