Eni Norge expands in Hammerfest

PRESS RELEASE: Eni Norge has chosen to locate its operations and regional office in the centre of Hammerfest.

Strandparken Eiendom AS will act as developer for the project and the Altabased company Bjørn Bygg main contractor. The value of the contract is approximately 165 MNOK.

The office, located in the centre of Hammerfest close to the Culture Centre, was chosen after a thorough evaluation of all technical and commercial criteria. “We are very pleased to find a location that takes care of all Eni Norge’s operational requirements linked to our administration of Goliat and our other activities in northern Norway”, says Communication Manager, Andreas Wulff.

The offices Eni Norge plans to lease will have about 4000 m2 of floor area and space for up to 120 employees. The office building will be completed before Goliat comes on stream.

To date, more than 60 per cent of the total value of contracts linked to the Goliat development has been awarded to Norwegian suppliers.

Goliat is scheduled to come on stream during 4Q 2013, and will provide between 150 and 200 onshore and offshore jobs in northern Norway.

The partners in the Goliat field are the operator Eni Norge AS (65 %) and Statoil Petroleum AS (35 %). Goliat will be the first oil field development in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea.
Eni Norge is part of Eni, the major Italian integrated energy company with operations in more than 70 countries.
