DOF Subsea Norway wins Goliat contract

PRESS RELEASE: DOF Subsea Norway AS has been awarded the contract for Goliat FPSO marine installation activities. The value of the contract is approximately 300 MNOK. The contract duration is from July 2011 to December 2013.

DOF has been selected as preferred partner after a thorough evaluation of both technical and commercial criteria. The contract includes fabrication and installation of 14 suction anchors, pre-installation of bottom chain, polyester line, buoyancy elements, temporary mooring of the FPSO outside Hammerfest and the final tow-out and hook-up at the field.

To date, more than 60 per cent of the total value of contracts linked to the Goliat development has been awarded to Norwegian suppliers.

Goliat is scheduled to come on stream during the fourth quarter of 2013, and will provide between 150 and 200 onshore and offshore jobs in northern Norway.

The partners in the Goliat field are the operator Eni Norge AS (65 %) and Statoil Petroleum AS (35 %). Goliat will be the first oil field development in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea.

Eni Norge is part of Eni, a major Italian integrated energy company with operations in more than 70 countries.
