PRESS RELEASE: Polarkonsult in Harstad has been awarded the contract for the inspection of vessels used by Eni Norge during offshore operations at Marulk, Goliat and planned exploration drilling activities. The contract has a term of 3 years.

Polarkonsult has been selected as preferred partner after a thorough evaluation of both technical and commercial criteria.

The contract includes services related to health, safety and environmental inspections of the vessels used during Eni Norge?s operations, including those involving subsea installations, pipe-laying and surveying. Seismic vessels will also require inspection prior to start-up of their operations. Service and follow-up inspections of stand-by vessels, supply vessels, and others used during Eni’s drilling campaigns are also included in the contract. 

Inspection activities will involve the verification of formal authorisations, the inspection of rescue, life-saving and communications equipment, etc., and checks of the crew?s competence and state of emergency preparedness.
