Goliat contract to Vicinay Cadenas

PRESS RELEASE: Vicinay Cadenas has been awarded contract for the design and delivery of anchor chains for the Goliat FPSO.

Eni Norge has on behalf of the Goliat licence (PL 229/PL 229B) where Statoil is a partner, signed a contract with Vicinay Cadenas SA, Bilbao, Spain for the design and delivery of anchor chains for the Goliat FPSO. The contract has a value of approx. 150 million NOK.

Vicinay Cadenas shall supply 14 anchor chains and connecting elements. The diameter of the chains will be 165 mm.

Up to present date more than 50 percent of the total contract values for the Goliat development has been awarded to Norwegian suppliers. Goliat is scheduled to be in production during 4Q 2013.

Operator of the Goliat field is Eni Norway AS (65%) together with partner Statoil (35%). The development of Goliat will be the first development of an oil field in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea.
