Electricity supply licence for the Goliat field

PRESS RELEASE: The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) has approved a licence application submitted by Eni Norge AS and Hammerfest Energi Nett AS for the construction of onshore facilities and an electricity supply link to the Goliat field. The work to which this construction licence applies will ensure electricity supply to the Goliat field as well as reinforcing the regional 132 kV supply grid in Hammerfest.
Eni Norge has applied for and received the authorities’ approval for a power supply system for the Goliat field which includes supply from land. This approval enabled Eni Norge and Hammerfest Energi Nett to apply for a construction licence for the development of an onshore facility to ensure electricity supply to the Goliat field when production commences in 2013.
