It is with great sorrow that we have received the news of the passing of King Harald V.

Our thoughts are now with His Majesty King Haakon VIII and the Royal Family during this difficult time.

For more than three decades, King Harald V served Norway with dignity, wisdom and an unwavering commitment to the country. Through his warmth and compassion, he was a unifying figure for the entire nation, earning respect and admiration from people across Norway and far beyond our borders.

His words and actions brought people together and fostered a sense of community in times of hardship as well as in moments of celebration and joy. He reflected values close to our hearts: respect, inclusion and care for one another.

We stand together in grief and grateful reflection on a remarkable person and the legacy he leaves behind.
