Partner-operated development

As partner, Vår Energi participates in a number of development projects on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). The discoveries reflect our strategy of capturing near-field value potential to utilize existing infrastructure. The company’s aim is to mature potential development projects to maximise asset portfolio and increase oil and gas recovery. Vår Energi’s portfolio of partner-operated development projects includes:

  • Bauge in PL 348: 18 percent
  • Fenja in PL 586: 45 percent
  • Brasse in PL 554 V: 50 percent
  • Garantiana in PL 554: 30 percent
  • Johan Castberg in PL 532: 30 percent
  • Trestakk in PL 091: 7.9 percent


Other discoveries operated by others are at different stages in the planning process. Vår Energi is partner in several other potential, future development projects listed below:

  • Noatun in PL 107: 20 percent
  • Beta in PL 375: 20 percent
  • Caterpillar in PL 340 BS: 20 percent
  • Frosk in PL 340: 20 percent
  • Cape Vulture: 11.6 percent
  • Mikkel South in PL 121: 17.9 percent and Flyndretind with 29,4 percent
  • Nona: 29.4 percent
