Ove M. Helle has 10 years’ experience working for the oil and gas industry in ExxonMobil and Point Resources. Helle transferred to Vår Energi from the position as Safety & Risk Manager in Point Resources. Before joining ExxonMobil, Helle spent 19 years in the Norwegian Air Force. Previous assignments include tactical coordinator on the P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft, operations, training, exercises and planning positions at HQs in Norway, as well as at the NATO maritime HQ in Northwood, UK.

He graduated from the Norwegian Air Force Flying School and US NAVY Naval Flight Officer School in 1992 and from the Norwegian Air Force Academy in 1998.
